The position


By joining our team in Exploration & Production International you will have the opportunity to:

Be part of shaping the future of data management in subsurface and support on current operations both in Norway and globally. 

Some of the key tasks to solve include:

  • Be responsible for managing data and information for some of our biggest exploration and production, low carbon and renewable projects in Norway and internationally.

  • Take an active role in building and populating our Azure cloud data platform. 

  • Use AI and data analytics to improve data quality, availability and useability to drive efficiency and new insight.

  • Develop, improve and maintain subsurface data and digital strategy.

  • Contribute to data management and data science governance frameworks for compliant and safe use.

  • Engage with internal and external partners and peers to deliver data & digital solutions that give competitive advantage.

New colleagues that can tick several of the boxes below:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree within a Subsurface, Computer Science or Quantative science discipline.

  • Hands-on and experienced within data and information management with an interest in digital tools, process automation, continuous improvement, and data science.

  • Experience of ETL and workflow management tools.

  • Programming (Python, R) and good SQL query skills. 

  • Knowledge of building and managing data pipelines in the cloud.  

  • A passion and drive for data governance and data quality assurance.

  • Preferably some experience with visualisation solutions like Power BI.

  • You are curious, flexible and analytical. You have strong problem solving and communication abilities to assess business challenges and requirements and design solutions accordingly.
