Automation Engineer, Offshore Handling Systems – Control & Digital

The Control & Digital department delivers the complete scope of controls, hardware and software, to allow the user to fully utilize the physical equipment in an efficient, safe, and predictable manner.
We are looking for an Automation Engineer, Offshore Handling Systems, reporting to the Team Lead, Software. In this role you will be working with design of electrical control systems on customer projects related to winches and handling systems in our KM Deck Machinery product portfolio.
We are looking for someone with a problem-solving mindset, who can collaborate as part of a team, challenge the status quo, and bring a new perspective to Kongsberg’s strategic goals. Previous experience is seen as beneficial, however, Control & Digital are committed to training and developing new engineers through a program of challenging tasks and supported learning. Qualifications and experience
- Degree within electrical or automation engineering
- Educational experience with PLC programming and design of control systems
- Capability to understand SW & HW interaction
