Now we are looking for a Senior Backend Developer

Requirements

We are looking for a generalist rather than a specialist in a single stack, with a demonstrated ability and passion for learning more tools. We are making an effort to innovate and upgrade, but for that, we need some help.

You are good at expressing your thoughts both written and verbally.

Must-have requirements

  • At least the equivalent of 5 years of experience working with Python (other languages also accepted, if a transition is desired)
    • Sharing a GitHub profile with projects is a big plus
  • Knowledge of any of tools such as OpenSearch, ClickHouse, DynamoDB, or Cassandra
  • Experience in working with AWS or other cloud vendors
  • Experience working with container orchestration technologies (e.g. Kubernetes)
  • Experience using a web framework like FastAPI
  • Experience working in event-driven architectures
  • Fluent in English in speaking and writing

        Optional requirements

        • Knowledge of a second programming language
        • BSc or MSc in computer science, data science, engineering, or a similar discipline
        • Experience with data pipelines is a plus

        Tasks

        • Create effective backend infrastructure and processes to manage large amounts of data and requests.
        • Work on our internal, event-driven pipeline, to support additional data processing
        • Work on more than one project in a Service Oriented Architecture.

        Technologies we frequently use in our company are PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, OpenSearch, Docker, Kubernetes, Dapr and AWS (although initially you are not expected to know all of these, you’ll learn about them as you work at Legentic).
