IT Applications Expert

Snapshot of your day

As an internal IT consultant, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our local IT applications that supports and optimize our production and engineering processes. By your influence and creativity, you can create business value and make a difference by designing and increasing the efficiency of how data flows in our business processes. Provide for quality, availability and reliability of our local servers and shop-floor applications, and as our main IT contact person, establish a good and wide network in the Siemens Energy IT environment. 

 

How you’ll make an impact

  • Responsibility for the development and operation of our Project database (Mendix platform).
  • Local server maintenance: Analyze, monitor, and identify any problems. Communicate with the SE IT support team.
  • Maintain, monitor, analyze and develop SAP interfaces.
  • Kardex Automatic warehouse system: Maintain and update system application.
  • WinTid production time recording system: Maintain and update system application, including maintenance of SAP/WinTid interfaces.
  • Develop effective and digital solutions in our assembly and test processes using LabView and Wats.
  • Manage internal and 3rd-party file sharing.

 

What you bring   

  • Bachelor’s or M.Sc. degree required.
  • 5+ years’ experience in the development of modern applications.
  • Experience from a manufacturing environment would be desirable.
  • You must be structured and work systematically.
  • You can easily analyze our needs and create innovative solutions for our processes.
  • Good communication skills in Norwegian and English.
